Flora squeezed Guy's arm tighter. She'd been here before, when she was six. That night she placed the Greensheet add under her pillow, she dreamt that she visited the well and she made a wish for her unicorn. She remembered now a tiny voice asking, what will be his name?
"Gary."
The unicorn trotted over to Flora and nuzzled her hand. Guy, speechless, surveyed the scene. They just stood there for a minute, no words.
"I know this place,"Flora broke the silence.
"You do."
Flora was too awestruck to notice Guy's furrowed brow. He took his arm back from Flora and rubbed his hands together for warmth before cupping and then bathing them with his hot breath.
"Can we go?"
In the distance they heard foot steps swishing through the leaves.
