I think that I shall never see

Luna explained that the link worked not like a chain but like a tree. Each new mind inside opened space for even more. The possibilities became limitless. I could feel the other minds filling in the gaps. The world inside was no longer my own, which was wonderful. Even the figs became interesting and it got to the point where I couldn't tell.

It was no longer about exploration. It was about being home. The outside no longer existed because there was so much life in there. Which is why Luna pulled me out again. Because if she didn't I would have stayed forever. And if I did that, Ren would do with the outside as he pleased.

I sensed him coming back online. I had a dream I was wearing his velcro trainers, descending a never ending staircase. My ears were bombarded with mechanical clicks and whirs. Every ten seconds the same phrase was repeated: CHILD NODES NOT ALLOWED.
