Peter drinks coffee from a to go cup.
PETER: This is my fourth cup today, or is it fifth? I dunno. I guess I drink too much. My piss smells like coffee. I bet that's a sign. We got a Starbucks at the bottom of our building, on street level. Most of the time I go down there cause I can't stand this place. Plus, there's this girl. Her name is Melba. I know, what you're thinking, that's an ugly fat chick's name but she's not fat or ugly. She's like, really cute, not really my type but cute, petite too. She's got long dark hair that's wavy and she wears these Buddy Holly type nerd glasses but she still looks good. She's like an artsy girl or something. She talks to me a lot when I'm down there. Now, I know what you're thinking, it's their job to be friendly and they get tips so don't feel special when the good looking girl schlepping lattes gives you a smile. But seriously, I notice sometimes, we'll have a whole conversation about movies or food and she's like totally ignoring the other customers. This has been going on for a while, months. We only talk for a few minutes at a time but still, I feel like we've really gotten to know each other.I'm thinking I should ask her out or something because I think we'd have a really good time. It's funny though because she's not the kind of girl I would see myself dating really. I think she's in design school or something and I know she's single and she's got this robot tattooed on her forearm. It's pretty wild. I never thought I would like to look at a girl that has something like that going on. There's just this one thing. She's young, like too young for a bar young, like I don't know if people are gonna think I'm a creep young. Shit, man. It's not like I can't find a date. I'm not desperate. It's just. I like her. A lot.
